Jobshadowing Litovel (República Checa)

El viaje comenzó con el desplazamiento Valencia–Viena y posterior traslado a Litovel, donde fuimos recibidos por la directora del centro anfitrión y otros profesores.

Al día siguiente realizamos una visita cultural a la cercana ciudad de Olomouc, donde varios docentes del centro nos acompañaron y nos ofrecieron explicaciones en español sobre los principales lugares históricos y culturales.

Nuestra primera jornada en el colegio comenzó con una reunión con la directora y la orientadora del centro. En ella revisamos el programa de actividades y compartimos información sobre la atención al alumnado con necesidades educativas especiales, comparando ambos sistemas educativos.

Los alumnos de 9º curso nos ofrecieron una presentación sobre el currículo escolar checo y la organización de las distintas etapas educativas hasta la universidad o la formación profesional. Posteriormente realizamos una visita por las instalaciones: aulas, comedor, gimnasio y espacios específicos de música, tecnología y biología.

Y también por la ciudad de Litovel junto con alumnos que se prepararon la visita guiada.

Durante la semana pudimos observar distintas clases:

Biología (5º de Primaria), donde destacaba la presencia de una asistente que apoyaba al alumnado cuando era necesario.

Educación Física (2º de Primaria), con dinámicas activas en el gimnasio.

Matemáticas, con metodologías activas y trabajo cooperativo por equipos y niveles.

Música (6º de Primaria), con uso de instrumentos, proyector y apoyo de dos asistentes para atender la diversidad.

Historia (2º de Primaria), aplicando metodología CLIL (aprendizaje integrado de contenidos y lengua extranjera) sobre la Antigua Grecia.

Lengua Checa y Arte, con dinámicas variadas y atención individualizada a alumnado con necesidades educativas especiales.

También mantuvimos reuniones con la psicóloga del centro para conocer su labor y con el profesorado para intercambiar impresiones sobre nuestros respectivos sistemas educativos. Uno de los aspectos que más llamó su atención fue nuestro horario escolar, especialmente la jornada hasta las 17:00 h, ya que en su sistema el alumnado finaliza alrededor de las 14:00 h.

Visitamos igualmente la escuela infantil de Litovel, donde pudimos observar aulas muy equipadas, con abundante material didáctico, pianos en cada clase y amplios espacios exteriores rodeados de naturaleza. Nos llamó la atención la autonomía del alumnado en rutinas diarias como la preparación de mesas para la comida o la organización del descanso.

El programa incluyó también actividades culturales para conocer mejor el país y su historia. Visitamos el Castillo de Castillo de Bouzov y las cuevas de Cuevas de Javoříčko.

Asimismo, realizamos una jornada completa en Praga, donde recorrimos algunos de sus lugares más emblemáticos: la Plaza de la Ciudad Vieja y el Reloj Astronómico de Praga, la Iglesia de Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Týn, el Puente de Carlos sobre el río Moldava, el Castillo de Praga y la Catedral de San Vito, Callejón del Oro, vinculado a Franz Kafka, barrio judío y la Plaza Wenceslao y parque Riegrovy sady

Estas visitas nos permitieron profundizar en la historia, la arquitectura y las tradiciones del país.

En nuestro último día en el centro educativo participamos en clases, actividades extraescolares y juegos de mesa con el alumnado. Finalmente, nos reunimos con la directora y la coordinadora del proyecto para cumplimentar y firmar la documentación oficial. Recibimos un diploma acreditativo y varios recuerdos del colegio y de la ciudad.

Esta experiencia de Jobshadowing supuso una oportunidad extraordinaria para enriquecer nuestra práctica docente, fortalecer la cooperación internacional y seguir avanzando en la construcción de una escuela abierta, inclusiva y europea.

The journey began with a flight from Valencia to Vienna, followed by a transfer to Litovel, where we were welcomed by the headteacher of the host school and other members of staff.

The following day, we went on a cultural visit to the nearby city of Olomouc, where several teachers from the school accompanied us and provided explanations in Spanish about the main historical and cultural landmarks.

Our first day at the school began with a meeting with the headteacher and the school counsellor. During this meeting, we reviewed the schedule of activities and shared information about support for students with special educational needs, comparing both educational systems.

Year 9 students gave us a presentation about the Czech school curriculum and the organisation of the different educational stages up to university or vocational training. Afterwards, we toured the school facilities, including classrooms, the canteen, the gym, and specialised rooms for music, technology, and biology.

Students of Secondary grade prepared a guide tour arround Litovel.

During the week, we observed different lessons:

Biology (Year 5 of Primary Education), where a teaching assistant supported students whenever necessary.

Physical Education (Year 2 of Primary Education), with active and dynamic activities in the gym.

Mathematics, using active methodologies and cooperative group work at different levels.

Music (Year 6 of Primary Education), with the use of instruments, a projector, and the support of two assistants to address diversity.

History (Year 2 of Primary Education), applying the CLIL methodology (Content and Language Integrated Learning) to the topic of Ancient Greece.

Czech Language and Art, with varied activities and individualised support for students with special educational needs.

We also held meetings with the school psychologist to learn about her work and with other teachers to exchange views on our respective educational systems. One aspect that particularly caught their attention was our school timetable, especially the fact that students attend school until 5:00 p.m., as in their system students usually finish around 2:00 p.m.

We also visited the kindergarden in Litovel, where we observed well-equipped classrooms with abundant teaching materials, a piano in each room, and large outdoor spaces surrounded by nature. We were especially impressed by the children’s autonomy in daily routines, such as setting the tables for lunch and organising their rest time.

The programme also included cultural activities to gain a deeper understanding of the country and its history. We visited Bouzov Castle and the Javoříčko Caves.

We also spent a full day in Prague, visiting some of its most iconic landmarks: the Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, the Church of Our Lady before Týn, Charles Bridge over the Vltava River, Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral, the Golden Lane (associated with Franz Kafka), the Jewish Quarter, Wenceslas Square, and Riegrovy Sady Park.

These visits allowed us to deepen our understanding of the country’s history, architecture, and traditions.

On our last day at the school, we took part in lessons, extracurricular activities, and board games with the students. Finally, we met with the headteacher and the project coordinator to complete and sign the official documentation. We received a certificate of participation and several souvenirs from the school and the city.

This jobshadowing experience was an extraordinary opportunity to enrich our teaching practice, strengthen international cooperation, and continue progressing towards the development of an open, inclusive, and European school.
